I’m a big fan of the Wilton Easy-Flex Silicon Muffin Pan. Here’s the main reason. I was having trouble removing my vegan black bean brownies from a regular (greased) metal muffin pan. Then I discovered that the brownies would pop right out of these pans.
If you love to bake, or even if you don’t, you should definitely have this muffin pan in your kitchen cabinet.
I first tried making my vegan black bean brownies in a regular metal muffin pan. No amount of greasing would solve the difficulty in removing the brownies from the pan intact. If you’re accustomed to easy removal of your baked goods from their pans, you might be wondering why this was an issue. The reason is that vegan black bean brownies typically lack the powerful binders contained in most baked goods.
Having seen these Wilton Easy-Flex silicon muffin pans in the store, I decided to give them a try when it was time to make the next batch of black bean brownies. I became an immediate fan of the silicon pans. After letting the brownies cool thoroughly in the pan, I gently twisted the pan and used my thumb to press on the pan underneath each brownie. The brownies popped right out of the pan. Hooray! No more digging around in the pan underneath the brownies with a spoon. No more broken brownies.
I purchased the Wilton Easy-Flex muffin pans in two sizes. First I bought the standard muffin size. Later I purchased the mini muffin size. Both sizes are available at Wilton’s website or various other online or brick-and-mortar retailers.
Here is the other thing that I love about these pans. They won’t ever rust. Even when I’ve bought high-quality baking pans that are supposed to be rust free, it still seems that they end up looking less-than-perfect in short order. The Wilton Easy-Flex silicon muffin pans have solved that problem.
According to Wilton, the pans are safe to use in your freezer, refrigerator, oven, microwave and dishwasher. Can’t get more versatile than that. And they have a limited lifetime warranty. I’m pleased to have these pans in my kitchen, and I think you need to have them, too.
